HOLZMANN DBK1300F Variable-Speed Copy Wood Lathe (1300 mm, 400 V)

DBK1300F

Stepless speed is what the F suffix buys. The DBK1300F runs anywhere from 0 to 3000 min-1 under variable control instead of the four belt steps of the DBK1300, so a heavy out-of-balance blank can be wound up gradually. Bed and copy capacity stay at 1300 mm and 1100 mm, and supply is 400 V only.

DBK1300F pricing is set by the variable-speed drive that distinguishes it from the belt-driven DBK1300, by the single 400 V configuration, by freight and customs clearance on a 228 kg crate 2120 mm long, by order quantity, and by any M33 chucks, faceplates and turning tools added.

The variable-speed version of the HOLZMANN copy lathe

The HOLZMANN DBK1300F is a copy wood turning lathe with stepless spindle speed control from 0 to 3000 min-1. That single feature defines the DBK1300F: instead of stopping to move a belt between four fixed steps, the operator dials the speed while the machine runs, starting an unbalanced square blank slowly and lifting the speed for the finishing passes. For a workshop turning long, heavy legs, the DBK1300F removes both the belt changes and the risk of running a rough blank too fast.

Copy capacity and turning capacity

The DBK1300F copies to 1100 mm in length and 50 mm in depth at a copying centre height of 65 mm, and turns to 1300 mm between centres at a 220 mm centre height. The copying attachment follows a master workpiece or template, so a set of matching table legs, balusters or stair spindles comes off the DBK1300F to the same profile without measuring each one. The headstock spindle is M33 and the tailstock takes MT2 centres, with 100 mm of tailstock sleeve travel.

Frame, clamping and tool rest

The DBK1300F is built on a torsion-resistant steel frame at 202 kg net, with a solid tailstock running on a double guide system. Tailstock and tool rest are locked one-handed by an eccentric clamp system, and the long tool rest has a quick clamp with stepless height adjustment. Various turning accessories are included in delivery.

DBK1300F, DBK1300 or DBK1500

All three HOLZMANN copy lathes share the 1500 W (S6) / 1100 W (S1) drive, the 220 mm centre height and the same copy geometry. The DBK1300 has four fixed speeds of 2800, 1950, 1000 and 500 min-1 and is offered in a 230 V version. The DBK1300F trades those steps for continuous 0-3000 min-1 control. The DBK1500 keeps the four fixed speeds but stretches the bed to 1500 mm between centres with 1300 mm of copy length.

Power supply

The DBK1300F is supplied only as DBK1300F_400V, so a three-phase 400 V connection is required; there is no single-phase variant of the variable-speed copy lathe. Gross shipping weight is 228 kg.

უპირატესობები

  • Stepless 0-3000 min-1 speed control lets heavy, unbalanced blanks be started slowly and finished fast
  • Same 1100 mm copy capacity and 202 kg steel frame as the DBK1300, with no belt changes
  • One-hand eccentric clamping of tailstock and tool rest speeds up repeat setups

გასათვალისწინებელი

  • 400 V three-phase only — no 230 V version of the DBK1300F is offered
  • Bed is limited to 1300 mm between centres; longer work needs the DBK1500, which has no variable drive
  • At 202 kg net the DBK1300F is a fixed installation, not a machine to be moved around a workshop

ხშირად დასმული კითხვები

Does the HOLZMANN DBK1300F run on 230 V or 400 V?
The HOLZMANN DBK1300F is supplied only as DBK1300F_400V and requires a 400 V three-phase connection. There is no single-phase version of the DBK1300F, so a workshop with 230 V mains only should choose the DBK1300_230V instead and accept four fixed speeds in place of the stepless 0-3000 min-1 drive.
What does the HOLZMANN DBK1300F not do?
The HOLZMANN DBK1300F does not carve, mill, sand or turn without a master when copying. The DBK1300F requires a master workpiece or template for copy work, is limited to 1100 mm of copy length and 50 mm of copy depth, and cannot accept pieces longer than 1300 mm between centres.
Why choose the DBK1300F over the DBK1300?
The HOLZMANN DBK1300F offers stepless speed control from 0 to 3000 min-1, while the DBK1300 has four belt-selected speeds of 2800, 1950, 1000 and 500 min-1. Choose the DBK1300F when blanks are heavy and out of balance at the start of a cut and the speed has to be raised gradually, or when frequent belt changes would slow production.
What can the DBK1300F copy?
The HOLZMANN DBK1300F copies profiles up to 1100 mm long and 50 mm deep at a copying centre height of 65 mm, tracing a master workpiece or a template. That covers table legs, chair legs, balusters and stair spindles, which the DBK1300F then reproduces to an identical profile across a whole batch.
How heavy is the DBK1300F and what does delivery include?
The HOLZMANN DBK1300F weighs 202 kg net and 228 kg gross, and HOLZMANN includes various turning accessories in delivery. Because of that weight the DBK1300F needs a solid floor and a pallet truck or two people to position, and it is not a machine to be moved between sites.
Can the DBK1300F be used as an ordinary wood lathe?
Yes. The DBK1300F is specified as a lathe as well as a copy lathe, with an M33 headstock spindle, an MK2/MT2 tailstock taper, 100 mm of tailstock sleeve travel and a long tool rest with quick clamp and stepless height adjustment - and the stepless 0-3000 min-1 drive is if anything more useful in freehand work than in copying. HOLZMANN does not state whether the copy carriage detaches or is simply parked for freehand turning, so if freehand work is your main use, ask us to confirm that point on the DBK1300F before ordering.
What does a HOLZMANN DBK1300F cost, and why does it price above the DBK1300?
The DBK1300F is quoted per order. Its price separates from the DBK1300 principally on the variable-speed drive - stepless 0-3000 min-1 against four belt steps - since every other published figure on the two machines is identical. Beyond that, the DBK1300F price moves on freight and customs for a 228 kg crate 2120 mm long, on order quantity, and on M33 tooling added. Ask us to quote both if the speed control is not clearly worth it for your work.
What is the lead time on a DBK1300F?
The DBK1300F is built to order and its current lead time is confirmed at quotation rather than published in advance. The DBK1300F exists in a single configuration - DBK1300F_400V - so there is no variant question to settle first; ask us at enquiry and we will state the position.
What does commissioning a DBK1300F involve, and does it need three-phase power?
Yes - the DBK1300F is supplied only as DBK1300F_400V, so a 400 V three-phase connection must be in place before the machine is sited. Commissioning otherwise covers levelling the 202 kg frame on a solid floor with clear space at both ends of the 1300 mm bed, checking direction of rotation, verifying the variable-speed drive across its 0-3000 min-1 range, and setting the copy carriage. We quote installation and handover for the DBK1300F separately.
What should be budgeted alongside a DBK1300F?
Alongside the DBK1300F, budget for chucks and faceplates to fit the M33 headstock spindle, centres for the MK2/MT2 tailstock, turning tools and spare copy cutters - HOLZMANN includes accessories with the DBK1300F but does not publish what they are. Where no 400 V supply exists at the intended position, the electrical work to bring three-phase to the machine is a real cost line and should be priced before the machine is ordered.
