The HOLZMANN K5260SMART is a compact five-operation combination woodworking machine with a 254 mm circular saw, a spindle moulder, a 260 mm three-knife planer and a thicknesser working to 225 mm on a 1640 x 1350 mm footprint. The K5260SMART is offered in 230 V single-phase and 400 V three-phase versions and is supplied on quotation.

The HOLZMANN K5260SMART is the model to look at when floor space, not panel size, is the binding constraint. Measuring 1640 x 1350 x 1150 mm and weighing 335 kg net, the K5260SMART is the smallest and lightest machine in the K5260 range, yet still combines a circular saw, a spindle moulder, a 260 mm surface planer and a thicknesser in one frame, with a rotary switch selecting which unit is live and an optional HOB310ECOLL mortising attachment adding a fifth operation.
Straight planer knives and a short sliding table
Two decisions define the K5260SMART against its sister model K5260PSMW2. First, the K5260SMART planes with three conventional full-width knives on a Ø70 mm shaft at 5500 rpm rather than a carbide-insert spiral block, which keeps purchase price and knife-replacement cost down but gives a coarser result on figured hardwood and a louder cut. Second, the K5260SMART carries a compact 400 x 250 mm sliding table with 380 mm of trimming travel, where the K5260PSMW2 offers 1300 mm. For solid-timber joinery — windows, doors, stair parts, furniture rails — that short slider is adequate; for breaking down full sheets of chipboard or MDF it is not, and a shop doing sheet work should price the longer-slider models instead.
Capacities the K5260SMART actually delivers
Working capacity on the K5260SMART is identical to the rest of the 260 mm class in most respects. The 254 x 30 x 3/2.2 mm saw blade runs at 4000 rpm, swivels 0–45° by handwheel and cuts 78 mm at 90° or 63 mm at 45°, with 710 mm of rip width at the parallel fence on a 920 x 500 mm table set 850 mm above the floor. Thicknessing runs on a 545 x 258 mm table to a maximum workpiece height of 225 mm at up to 4 mm depth of cut, and the feed can be disengaged with a lever, at up to 7 m/min. The moulder spindle is 30 mm with 110 mm stroke and four speeds from 1400 to 9000 rpm.
Supply, extraction and installation notes
The K5260SMART comes as a 230 V single-phase machine or a 400 V three-phase machine, driven by 2.2 kW, 1.5 kW and 2.2 kW motors for saw, shaper and planer respectively. Three extraction connections of 100 / 100 / 32 mm need a collector sized for the machine; measured sound power is 103 dB(A), so hearing protection is not optional.
