The HOLZMANN K5310VPSMW2 is the model to specify when a shop needs to break down full sheets and still plane wide solid stock on the same frame. A 2000 x 270 mm sliding table with a 730 x 580 mm outrigger and a crosscut fence adjustable from 1225 to 2320 mm gives the K5310VPSMW2 2000 mm of trimming length — enough for a standard sheet in one pass, where the 260 mm machines in the range manage 380 or 1300 mm.
Scoring unit: why it matters for melamine and veneer
The scoring saw is the single feature that makes the K5310VPSMW2 a furniture-shop machine rather than a joinery machine. Ahead of the Ø315 mm main blade running at 4500 rpm, a Ø100 mm scoring blade turns at 850 rpm and pre-cuts the underside of the panel, so melamine-faced board and veneered ply come off the saw without chipping on the exit face. No other model in this HOLZMANN combination range carries a scoring unit. Main blade capacity is 100 mm at 90° and 80 mm at 45°, with 780 mm of rip width at the parallel fence.
310 mm spiral planing and thicknessing
Planing capacity on the K5310VPSMW2 is a step up rather than a variation. The planing table measures 1300 x 310 mm with a 1100 x 150 mm fence tilting 90–45°, and the Ø70 mm cutterblock is a two-groove spiral head carrying 30 indexable carbide inserts at 5500 rpm. Thicknessing runs on a 545 x 308 mm table to 225 mm of workpiece height at up to 4 mm cutting depth, with a lever-disengaged feed at up to 5.5 m/min. Spindle moulding uses a 30 mm spindle with 100 mm stroke and four speeds of 3000, 6000, 8000 and 10000 rpm through a 180 mm table opening.
Power, weight and what the machine demands from the building
The K5310VPSMW2 draws on three motors of 3.0 kW, 3.0 kW and 2.2 kW and is available in 230 V single-phase and 400 V three-phase versions; on a machine of this size the three-phase version is the sensible specification wherever supply allows. At 516 kg net and 2000 x 2370 x 1100 mm in plan, the K5310VPSMW2 needs a genuinely level slab, clear run-off space on both sides of the slider, and Ø100/100/40 mm extraction connected before first use.
