The HOLZMANN KAM215EPSV belongs to a different class from the compact KAM35 range, and feed rate is the clearest evidence: the KAM215EPSV runs at 13 m/min against 8 m/min on a KAM35. On a shop doing several hundred metres of tape a day that difference decides whether edge banding is the bottleneck. The KAM215EPSV is a one-sided automatic machine built on an industrial chassis of 3570 x 1100 x 1500 mm weighing 900 kg net.
Heavier units, not just faster feed
The unit specification behind the feed rate is what makes it usable. The KAM215EPSV pre-mills with two counter-rotating Ø80 mm cutters on 1.1 kW motors at 12000 rpm, cuts the tape ends with separate front and rear saw units at 0.35 kW and 12000 rpm each, and — the significant figure — trims the overhang with a double trimming unit of 0.75 kW per unit at 18000 rpm, roughly double the trimming power of a compact KAM35 machine. The form cutters can run straight or with a 2 mm radius. Finishing is by straight scraper top and bottom and a polishing unit at 0.18 kW and 1400 rpm.
The exchangeable glue pot
The KAM215EPSV is supplied in the model 2026 specification with an exchangeable glue pot. That matters in production: a shop switching between adhesive types, or dealing with a carbonised pot, changes the pot instead of stripping and cleaning it in place, and the machine goes back into service the same shift.
Capacity and what the KAM215ALL adds
The KAM215EPSV takes tape 15–55 mm wide and 0.4–3 mm thick on panels 10–50 mm thick, with a minimum workpiece of 120 x 80 mm. The step up to the KAM215ALL buys a corner trimming unit and an R2 radius scraper in place of the flat scraper; the KAM215EPSV is the right choice where edges are flat and corners are handled downstream.
