The HOLZMANN KAM35EP is a one-sided automatic edge banding machine with a heated glue tank, an automatic end trim saw, a double trimming unit and a polishing unit, feeding at 8 m/min on a 3960 W connected load. The KAM35EP has no pre-milling unit, runs on 400 V three-phase supply and is supplied on quotation.
Price on the KAM35EP is moved by the trimming and saw tooling package, spare polishing discs, freight of a 560 kg gross crate to site, unloading and positioning, and whether commissioning and operator training are included.

The HOLZMANN KAM35EP is the KAM35 model that adds automatic end trimming without stepping up to a pre-milling machine. Against the KAM35P below it, the KAM35EP gains a crosscut saw unit that cuts the edge tape at the front and rear of the panel automatically — the job the KAM35P leaves to a hand trimmer — and lifts the maximum edge thickness from 2 mm to 3 mm. Against the KAM35ESV and KAM35SMART above it, the KAM35EP still has no pre-milling unit and no scraper.
What that means on the finished edge
Skipping pre-milling is a decision about panel quality, not a defect. Without a pre-milling unit the KAM35EP glues the tape onto the panel edge exactly as the saw left it, so results depend directly on how clean and square the cut from the panel saw is. Shops running a well-set scoring saw get a good bond; shops working from rough or slightly bowed edges will see glue lines. The KAM35EP compensates at the other end with a polishing unit running top and bottom at 1400 rpm on 0.18 kW motors, which the KAM35ESV does not have.
Working capacity of the KAM35EP
The KAM35EP processes edge tape 15–48 mm wide and 0.4–3 mm thick on panels 12–45 mm thick, minimum 70 mm long and 80 mm wide, at a constant 8 m/min chain-conveyor feed. The end-trim saw uses a 0.37 kW motor, the double trimming unit 0.35 kW per unit at 12000 rpm. Adhesive temperature is set electronically at the touch panel on the heated glue tank.

The KAM35EP takes a 400 V three-phase supply with a 3960 W connected load and compressed air at 6 bar. Extraction is a single Ø50 mm port, which is smaller than the Ø100 mm ports used further up the range and should be checked against the hose sizes already in the shop. Overall dimensions are 2350 x 1050 x 1320 mm at 850 mm working height, with a net weight of 495 kg.
