The KAM35ESV brings pre-milling into the compact KAM35 format

The HOLZMANN KAM35ESV is the first model in the KAM35 range with a pre-milling unit, and that is the reason to choose it over the KAM35EP. Two Ø80 mm cutters running in opposite directions, each on a 1.1 kW motor at 12000 rpm, skim the panel edge square and clean immediately before glue is applied, so the KAM35ESV is far less dependent on the quality of the cut coming off the panel saw than the non-pre-milling models below it.

No polishing unit — know this before ordering

The KAM35ESV finishes with a straight scraper and stops there. Where the KAM35SMART and KAM35ALL carry a spray unit and a polishing unit running at 1400 rpm to bring the tape to a clean sheen, the KAM35ESV leaves that final step to be done by hand or skipped. For shops banding painted or matt-finish carcasses that is often irrelevant; for gloss PVC and visible furniture fronts it is a real gap, and buyers wanting a polished edge should specify the KAM35SMART instead. In exchange the KAM35ESV is shorter and lighter than either — 2625 x 1315 x 1315 mm and 560 kg net.

Units and capacity

The KAM35ESV processes edge tape 15–55 mm wide and 0.4–3 mm thick on panels from 12 to 50 mm thick, minimum 70 mm long and 80 mm wide, at a chain-conveyor feed of 8 m/min. The line is pre-milling, heated glue tank with electronic temperature control at the touch display, pressure rollers, crosscut saw for the front and rear tape ends on a 0.37 kW motor at 12000 rpm, a double trimming unit at 0.35 kW per unit and 12000 rpm, then the straight scraper top and bottom. Supplied tooling includes two pre-milling cutters, two saw blades, four straight scrapers and two trimming cutters.

Installation requirements

The KAM35ESV needs a 400 V three-phase supply for its 6180 W connected load and compressed air at 6–7 bar. Two Ø100 mm extraction ports must be connected — pre-milling generates chip volume that a small collector will not handle.
