The price of an MZK 2800 Diamond is driven by the shorter 2800 mm carriage specified instead of the 3200 mm or 3800 mm Diamonds, the blade and scoring blade package, freight and offloading of the 675 kg machine, and whether extraction ducting and electrical connection are inside the quoted scope.

The MZK 2800 Diamond trades carriage length for floor space. A 2800 mm sliding table with 2800 mm of travel is enough for the 2800 x 2070 mm sheets common in the Georgian market, and it fits a workshop that cannot give up the six or seven metres of clear run a 3200 mm machine needs. Everything else in the cutting head is unchanged from the larger Diamond models: a 4 kW main motor turning Ø250 x 30 mm to Ø300 x 30 mm blades at 4750-5250 rpm, 80 mm of depth at 90 degrees, 65 mm at 45 degrees, and a 0.75 kW scoring motor spinning a Ø125 x 20 mm scorer at 7250 rpm.
Manual adjustment, machined frame
Blade tilt from 45 to 90 degrees and blade rise and fall are set by hand on the MZK 2800 Diamond, and the 9-spindle movement system carries the aluminium carriage on a machined frame weighing 675 kg. There is no control electronics on the machine, which keeps both the purchase price and the long-term maintenance exposure low.
Who the MZK 2800 Diamond suits
The MZK 2800 Diamond suits small and medium furniture workshops, kitchen fitters and joineries whose panel work is standard-sheet size and whose constraint is the building rather than the budget. It is also a sound choice as a dedicated second saw in a larger shop – left set for one repeated cut while the long machine handles oversize work.
How the MZK 2800 Diamond compares
The MZK 2800 Diamond is mechanically the same saw as the MZK 3200 Diamond, 400 mm shorter in the carriage and 45 kg lighter at 675 kg against 720 kg. Anything longer than 2800 mm has to be cut on the MZK 3200 Diamond or the MZK 3800 Diamond. Motorised angle and height setting begins with the Diamond S models, and programmed fence positioning with the SX; the MZK 2800 Diamond has neither, and is priced accordingly.

The specification covers the 550 x 910 mm main table, a 380 x 540 mm side extension table, a 785 x 970 mm rear extension table, a 1200 mm rip fence, the 1950 mm crosscut fence with ±45 degree setting and a 0-3000 mm stop range, and the scoring unit with its own motor.
