The MZK 3800 SPECIAL is the longer of the two SPECIAL panel saws, running 3800 mm of sliding table travel where the MZK 3200 SPECIAL stops at 3200 mm. Shared with its sibling: a 420 mm linear-guided aluminium carriage, 4 kW saw motor, 0.75 kW scorer and motorised 45-90 degree tilt, here on an 808 kg frame.
Price on the MZK 3800 SPECIAL is moved by the 3800 mm carriage length itself rather than the shorter 3200 mm SPECIAL, the saw and scoring blade package specified, the extraction unit sized to the machine, and delivery, rigging and installation onto the workshop floor.

The MZK 3800 SPECIAL sizes full sheet material and squares solid stock in a single set-up. The 3800 mm sliding table travel carries a long panel completely past the blade, and the upper carriage fence measures 1950 mm with a stop range of 0 to 3000 mm, so crosscuts are set once and repeated. The main arbor takes blades from Ø250 x 30 mm to Ø300 x 30 mm turning at 4750 to 5250 rpm on a 4 kW motor, giving 80 mm of depth at 90 degrees and 65 mm at 45 degrees. A Ø125 x 20 mm scoring blade running at 7250 rpm on its own 0.75 kW motor opens the cut line first, which is what keeps melamine and veneered faces from chipping on the underside.

The MZK 3800 SPECIAL is built for a furniture or joinery workshop that cuts board every working day rather than occasionally. At 808 kg net the frame is machined and heavy enough to hold alignment through continuous shifts, and the 420 mm aluminium carriage gives a wide, stable platform for a panel resting flat on the carriage rather than overhanging it. Workshops producing kitchen carcasses, wardrobe systems and shop fittings are the natural fit.
How the MZK 3800 SPECIAL differs from the PRESTIJ and the MZK 3200 SPECIAL
Two things separate the MZK 3800 SPECIAL from the cheaper MZK 3800 PRESTIJ: the carriage is 420 mm wide instead of 380 mm and runs on a linear guide system, and blade tilt from 45 to 90 degrees is driven by an actuator motor instead of being set by hand. Against the MZK 3200 SPECIAL, which shares the same 420 mm carriage, linear system and motorised tilt, the difference is stroke alone: 3800 mm of travel against 3200 mm, and 808 kg against 760 kg. Vertical blade rise and fall on the MZK 3800 SPECIAL remains manual.
What is included
The MZK 3800 SPECIAL is supplied with a 550 x 910 mm main table, a 380 x 540 mm side extension, a 785 x 970 mm rear extension, a 1200 mm rip fence on the table and an additional profile support carriage. The dust extraction port sits 845 mm from the floor and total machine height is 1400 mm.
