ZS640P
The HOLZMANN ZS640P is a 640 mm drum sander that calibrates and finishes panels from 7 to 127 mm thick, using a dynamically balanced 127 mm drum at 1800 rpm and a conveyor feed adjustable steplessly from 1.8 to 7.3 m/min. The ZS640P is available as a 230 V single-phase machine or a 400 V three-phase machine and ships with two sanding belts, P80 and P120.
The ZS640P price is driven by the voltage version (230 V or 400 V), the abrasive belt package beyond the two included belts, whether extraction equipment and ducting are quoted with it, and delivery, unloading and commissioning in Georgia.

The HOLZMANN ZS640P is a thicknessing sander, not an edge sander: workpieces pass under a powered drum on a conveyor and come out flat, parallel and to a repeatable thickness. The ZS640P takes 640 mm of width in one pass and workpieces from 7 mm up to 127 mm thick, which covers glued-up table tops in two passes, cabinet doors, stair treads and solid panels in one.
Drum, feed and finish quality
Finish on the ZS640P comes from the drum and the feed working together. The 127 mm drum is dynamically balanced and turns at 1800 rpm for smooth running without chatter marks, while the conveyor feed is steplessly adjustable from 1.8 to 7.3 m/min so the operator slows down for hardwood and speeds up for softwood or a light finishing pass. A magnetic switch controls the sanding drum drive and a separate key switch controls the conveyor, so the two are started and stopped independently – useful when clearing a stalled workpiece. The high-quality conveyor belt is designed for long service life and can be adjusted parallel quickly, which is the adjustment that most often goes out on a sander of this type.
Belt changes and abrasive
Abrasive changes on the ZS640P are designed to be quick, which matters because a drum sander is only economical if the operator is willing to step through grits. The ZS640P is delivered with two sanding belts, one P80 and one P120, so first cuts and a finishing pass are covered from day one.
Power, footprint and planning
The ZS640P is offered in two versions, and this is the real decision for a Georgian workshop: ZS640P_230V for a single-phase supply and ZS640P_400V for three-phase. The motor is rated 1500 W on S1 continuous duty and 2100 W on S6 intermittent duty. Overall dimensions are 1143 x 711 x 1321 mm and net weight is 195 kg, so the ZS640P occupies a defined floor position with infeed and outfeed clearance either side.
ZS640P or ZS970P
Choose the ZS640P for 640 mm panels and single-drum work. The ZS970P in the same Holzmann range widens to 970 mm, adds a second drum so coarse and fine sanding happen in one feed, and takes workpieces up to 304 mm thick.
