Flat-bed router or nesting cell: decide the class first

Class matters more than model here. The HOLZMANN CTF45P is a benchtop machine – a 460 x 460 x 80 mm bed, an 80 W spindle, 15.8 kg, running from any 100-240 V socket – suited to signs, inlays and small parts. The HOLZMANN CTF69 and CTF69ATC are enclosed floor-standing routers with a 2500 W spindle to 24000 rpm for joinery components and short runs. The MIZRAK LINA machines are nesting cells built to cut a whole cabinet part list out of full sheets on a 2100 x 3660 mm working area. The NETMAK CNC 2411 stands apart: left and right 3.5 HP horizontal edge motors at 18000 rpm over a 2400 x 1100 x 250 mm envelope make it a door machine that works face and edge in one setup.

Vacuum, spindle and tool holders decide the nesting model

Hold-down decides a nesting router before spindle power does. The LINA 2136 EVO holds work on 24 automatic vacuum points; the LINA 2136 and LINA 2136 ED use 48 points in 6 zones, and the LINA 2136 PLUS X 48 points in 8 zones. Spindle follows: 7.5-9 kW HSD on the LINA 2136 EVO, LINA 2136 and LINA 2136 ED, and 11-13 kW at 24,000 rpm on the LINA 2128 PLUS X, LINA 2136 PLUS X and LINA 2136 LINE. Tool holders run 13 HSK F63 on the LINA 2136 and 15 on the LINA 2136 PLUS X. The LINA 2128 PLUS X includes a 9-spindle drilling group, an F63 twin-output aggregate and 14 rotary tools as standard, where the LINA 2136 PLUS X lists them as options. Speed separates the rest: 90 m/min on Y for the LINA 2136 against 70 m/min on the EVO, and 60 m/min on Z for the LINA 2136 PLUS X against 40 m/min on the LINA 2128 PLUS X. Only the LINA 2136 LINE loads itself, with a double scissor lift stacking 25 sheets and barcode labelling.

What the tool changer adds on the small routers

The CTF69 gives 915 x 610 x 140 mm of travel at 360 kg and arrives with three usable collets in 1/2 inch, 8 mm and 10 mm. The CTF69ATC adds a 5-position automatic tool changer, a 1500 W vacuum pump under the table and 1100 mm of X travel at 470 kg, but its holders are supplied without collets, so collets are a separate line on the quotation.

Power, air, floor space and extraction

Power supply divides the range sharply. The CTF45P runs from an ordinary socket, while a nesting cell is a three-phase installation – the LINA 2136 LINE is published at 24 kW installed power on 400 V 50 Hz – and also needs compressed air and a vacuum pump running through the shift. Floor space is the bed plus gantry overrun plus a loading and an unloading side for full sheets, with extra length for the scissor lift on the LINA 2136 LINE. Extraction is not optional: cutting a full sheet into parts produces chip continuously at the spindle hood, so size the extraction unit for the spindle rather than reusing a small mobile collector.

What sits outside the machine price

The price drivers on a CNC router are spindle power, vacuum zones, tool change, drilling group and loading automation. Cutters, collets or HSK holders, spoilboard and vacuum pods, CAD/CAM and nesting software, extraction, a compressor, delivery, installation and operator training are quoted alongside the machine. Send sheet sizes, part types and shop dimensions with the request so the quotation covers the whole cell.

Should a furniture workshop buy a flat-bed CNC router or a nesting machine?
Choose a flat-bed CNC router when the work is components, signs, prototypes and short runs, and a nesting machine when whole cabinet part lists are cut from full sheets. On this page the HOLZMANN CTF45P (460 x 460 mm bed) and CTF69 / CTF69ATC (915 or 1100 mm of X travel) are flat-bed routers, while the MIZRAK LINA machines work a 2100 x 3660 mm area with automatic vacuum zones and HSD spindles. The NETMAK CNC 2411 is a third case - a door machine with horizontal edge motors that machines panel face and edge in one setup.
What power supply and services does a CNC router need?
A CNC router's requirements depend entirely on class. The HOLZMANN CTF45P runs from any ordinary 100-240 V socket, so a benchtop machine needs no special installation. A MIZRAK LINA nesting cell is a 400 V three-phase installation - the LINA 2136 LINE is published at 24 kW installed power on 400 V 50 Hz - and beyond electricity it needs compressed air and a vacuum pump running continuously to hold sheets down, plus an extraction unit. Confirm the connected load and services for the exact configuration when requesting a quote.
How much space and extraction does a nesting CNC router need?
A nesting CNC router needs its bed plus gantry overrun, plus a loading side and an unloading side long enough for a full sheet to be placed and parts removed - so plan considerably more floor than the 2100 x 3660 mm working area suggests, and add length again for the double scissor lift on the LINA 2136 LINE. Extraction is not optional on a CNC router: cutting a whole sheet into parts produces chip continuously at the spindle hood, so the extraction unit must be sized for the spindle rather than borrowed from a bench machine.
Is the automatic tool changer on the CTF69ATC worth it?
The tool changer earns its place when programs use several cutters. The HOLZMANN CTF69 gives 915 x 610 x 140 mm of travel and includes three ready-to-cut collets (1/2 inch, 8 mm and 10 mm), so tools are changed by hand between operations. The CTF69ATC adds a 5-position automatic tool changer, a 1500 W vacuum pump under the table and 1100 mm of X travel at 470 kg, but its holders are supplied without collets, so collets must be added to the quotation. If jobs are single-cutter, the CTF69 is the more complete machine out of the crate.
Which MIZRAK LINA model suits a shop starting with nesting?
A shop starting with nesting usually compares the LINA 2136 EVO and the LINA 2136: the EVO holds work on 24 automatic vacuum points and reaches 70 m/min on Y, while the LINA 2136 doubles that to 48 points in 6 zones and 90 m/min, with spindle, tooling and 45 mm Z capacity identical. Move up to the LINA 2136 PLUS X or LINA 2128 PLUS X for an 11-13 kW spindle, more holders and a drilling group, and to the LINA 2136 LINE only when sheet loading should run without an operator.
What determines the price of a CNC router?
A CNC router is priced by configuration, which is why every machine here is quoted rather than listed. The main drivers are spindle power (80 W on the CTF45P against 11-13 kW on the LINA PLUS X models), vacuum zones and pump, tool change, the drilling group and aggregate - standard on the LINA 2128 PLUS X but optional on the LINA 2136 PLUS X - and loading automation on the LINA 2136 LINE. Then add cutters, collets or HSK holders, spoilboard and vacuum pods, CAD/CAM and nesting software, extraction, a compressor, delivery, installation and operator training.
