A cast iron wood lathe with a copying option

The HOLZMANN VD1100N is a floor-standing wood lathe with 1100 mm between centres and a 185 mm centre height, built from grey cast iron in the machine bed, stand, headstock and tailstock. Cast iron rather than folded sheet is what gives the VD1100N its damping: at 119 kg net the machine absorbs the vibration a long, slightly out-of-round blank produces.
