Flat-bed router or nesting cell: decide the class first

Class matters more than model here. The HOLZMANN CTF45P is a benchtop machine – a 460 x 460 x 80 mm bed, an 80 W spindle, 15.8 kg, running from any 100-240 V socket – suited to signs, inlays and small parts. The HOLZMANN CTF69 and CTF69ATC are enclosed floor-standing routers with a 2500 W spindle to 24000 rpm for joinery components and short runs. The MIZRAK LINA machines are nesting cells built to cut a whole cabinet part list out of full sheets on a 2100 x 3660 mm working area. The NETMAK CNC 2411 stands apart: left and right 3.5 HP horizontal edge motors at 18000 rpm over a 2400 x 1100 x 250 mm envelope make it a door machine that works face and edge in one setup.

Vacuum, spindle and tool holders decide the nesting model

Hold-down decides a nesting router before spindle power does. The LINA 2136 EVO holds work on 24 automatic vacuum points; the LINA 2136 and LINA 2136 ED use 48 points in 6 zones, and the LINA 2136 PLUS X 48 points in 8 zones. Spindle follows: 7.5-9 kW HSD on the LINA 2136 EVO, LINA 2136 and LINA 2136 ED, and 11-13 kW at 24,000 rpm on the LINA 2128 PLUS X, LINA 2136 PLUS X and LINA 2136 LINE. Tool holders run 13 HSK F63 on the LINA 2136 and 15 on the LINA 2136 PLUS X. The LINA 2128 PLUS X includes a 9-spindle drilling group, an F63 twin-output aggregate and 14 rotary tools as standard, where the LINA 2136 PLUS X lists them as options. Speed separates the rest: 90 m/min on Y for the LINA 2136 against 70 m/min on the EVO, and 60 m/min on Z for the LINA 2136 PLUS X against 40 m/min on the LINA 2128 PLUS X. Only the LINA 2136 LINE loads itself, with a double scissor lift stacking 25 sheets and barcode labelling.

What the tool changer adds on the small routers

The CTF69 gives 915 x 610 x 140 mm of travel at 360 kg and arrives with three usable collets in 1/2 inch, 8 mm and 10 mm. The CTF69ATC adds a 5-position automatic tool changer, a 1500 W vacuum pump under the table and 1100 mm of X travel at 470 kg, but its holders are supplied without collets, so collets are a separate line on the quotation.

Power, air, floor space and extraction

Power supply divides the range sharply. The CTF45P runs from an ordinary socket, while a nesting cell is a three-phase installation – the LINA 2136 LINE is published at 24 kW installed power on 400 V 50 Hz – and also needs compressed air and a vacuum pump running through the shift. Floor space is the bed plus gantry overrun plus a loading and an unloading side for full sheets, with extra length for the scissor lift on the LINA 2136 LINE. Extraction is not optional: cutting a full sheet into parts produces chip continuously at the spindle hood, so size the extraction unit for the spindle rather than reusing a small mobile collector.
