NETMAK
NETMAK PL 500 Surface Planer (500 mm)
PL 500 Planya Makinasi
Jointing width is the only real variable across the PL range, and the NETMAK PL 500 sits in the middle at 500 mm on 500 x 2600 mm tables, weighing 770 kg. Drive matches the PL 400 and PL 600: a 5.5 kW (7.5 HP) motor, a 120 mm four-knife block at 4500 rpm and a 15 mm maximum cut.
The PL 500 price moves with cutterblock choice (four-knife or optional helical), whether automatic table adjustment and the digital height indicator are added, and with the delivery, offloading and installation of a 2650 mm long machine.
ფასის მოთხოვნაWhat the PL 500 surface planer does
The NETMAK PL 500 flattens the first face and squares the first edge of solid timber up to 500 mm wide. Work is carried on 2600 mm of table, divided into a 1420 mm infeed and an 1180 mm outfeed section, over a 120 mm cutterblock with four knives spinning at 4500 rpm. The 7.5 HP / 5.5 kW motor supports a full 15 mm depth of cut, so heavily cupped or badly sawn boards can be brought to a true face quickly rather than shaved down over many passes.
Who the PL 500 suits
The PL 500 is the middle choice in the NETMAK planer range and suits the workshop that handles both framing timber and moderately wide boards. Furniture makers preparing 450 mm bed rails, stair builders facing strings, and door shops jointing wide stiles all sit in the PL 500’s working band. Its 770 kg mass and monoblock steel body damp the vibration that becomes noticeable when a wide board contacts all four knives at once, and the electromechanical brake stops the block quickly between pieces.
PL 500 against the PL 400 and PL 600
The PL 500 differs from its siblings in width and footprint only. Table length (2600 mm), infeed and outfeed split (1420 mm / 1180 mm), depth of cut (15 mm), knife count (4), block diameter (120 mm), spindle speed (4500 rpm) and motor (7.5 HP / 5.5 kW) are identical across the PL 400, PL 500 and PL 600. The PL 500 occupies 900 x 2650 x 1250 mm and weighs 770 kg, against 800 x 2600 x 1250 mm and 710 kg for the PL 400 and 1000 x 2650 x 1250 mm and 880 kg for the PL 600. Buying the PL 500 rather than the PL 400 costs 100 mm of workshop width and buys 100 mm of planing width.
What is included with the PL 500
The PL 500 is delivered with a monoblock steel body, an electromechanical brake, two hand and knife guards, a cast fence adjustable through 45 degrees and four knives on the 120 mm cutterblock. Digital height indication, automatic table adjustment and a helical cutterblock are offered as PL 500 options. Extraction hose and ducting, a power feed unit and spare knives are ordered separately.
