HOLZMANN FS200SF Spindle Moulder with Tilting Spindle

FS200SF

The HOLZMANN FS200SF is a 2800 W spindle moulder with a Ø30 mm spindle that tilts backwards from 0° to 45°, four speeds from 1800 to 9000 rpm and a 1000 x 250 mm aluminium sliding table on a 1000 x 360 mm cast iron top. The FS200SF is offered in 230 V and 400 V versions and is supplied on quotation.

The price of an FS200SF is moved by the voltage version, the cutter block and tooling package specified, whether a power feed unit and extraction are quoted with the machine, delivery of a 260 kg gross machine into Georgia, and whether installation and operator training are included.

A tilting-spindle moulder for real joinery work

The FS200SF is the point in the Holzmann shaper range where a spindle moulder stops being a hobby machine. The FS200SF puts 2800 W continuous (3750 W S6) behind a Ø30 mm spindle that tilts backwards from 0° to 45°, so bevelled mouldings, angled tenon shoulders and sprung profiles are cut by tilting the tool rather than by building jigs. Tool diameter on the FS200SF reaches 180 mm both above and below the 200 mm table opening.

Speeds, spindle and tooling

Speed range is the practical measure of a shaper’s versatility, and the FS200SF offers four: 1800, 3000, 6000 and 9000 rpm, shown electronically on an LCD readout. The FS200SF gives 100 mm of spindle stroke and 100 mm maximum clamping height, which accommodates stacked cutter blocks and tall tenoning heads. Changing tooling on the FS200SF is done with a spindle-lock lever on the side of the machine and a maintenance cover at the front for the speed change, so the operator is not reaching over the table.

Table, feeding and extraction

The FS200SF is built around a heavy, torsion-resistant ground grey cast iron table of 1000 x 360 mm at 900 mm working height. Workpiece control on the FS200SF comes from a smooth-running 1000 x 250 mm aluminium sliding table with a further 250 mm extension table, a 360 x 120 mm mitre fence and a shaper fence with guide rollers for consistent feed pressure. Extraction on the FS200SF connects to a Ø100 mm port, which should be treated as a minimum for a machine throwing chips at 9000 rpm.

FS200SF, FS160L or FS300?

Position the FS200SF between the two. The 108 kg FS160L is a compact 1500 W machine with a fixed vertical spindle; the 280 kg FS300 offers a 3000 W motor, 130 mm spindle stroke and -5° to 45° tilt. The 218 kg FS200SF adds tilt and a 1000 mm sliding table to the smaller machine while remaining available in a 230 V single-phase version.

უპირატესობები

  • A spindle tilting 0-45° removes the need for angled jigs and lets one cutter block produce several profiles
  • Four speeds from 1800 to 9000 rpm with LCD indication cover both large-diameter blocks and small high-speed cutters correctly
  • A 218 kg cast iron machine available in 230 V single-phase suits Georgian workshops that cannot yet get three-phase

გასათვალისწინებელი

  • 100 mm maximum clamping height limits the FS200SF on tall tenoning and stacked profile blocks compared with the 140 mm of the FS300
  • No power feed unit is listed, so hand feeding is the default and a feeder must be budgeted for consistent finish and safety
  • The 200 mm table opening and 180 mm tool ceiling set a hard limit on cutter diameter, which matters for large door and window profiles

How much does the HOLZMANN FS200SF cost?
The HOLZMANN FS200SF spindle moulder is supplied on quotation rather than at a fixed shelf price. The price of an FS200SF is driven by the voltage version chosen (230 V or 400 V), the cutter blocks, spindle rings and tooling specified with the machine, whether a power feed unit and extraction are quoted alongside it, delivery of a 260 kg gross machine to site in Georgia, and whether installation and operator handover are included. Describe the profiles to be cut and a written FS200SF quotation will be prepared.
Should the FS200SF be ordered in 230 V or 400 V?
The FS200SF is built in both, and the choice depends on the workshop supply. The FS200SF_230V runs from a single-phase supply, which is often the deciding factor for small Georgian workshops, while the FS200SF_400V uses a three-phase supply and generally handles heavy, sustained cuts with less motor stress. Both versions deliver 2800 W S1 and 3750 W S6; confirm which is required at enquiry, since the two versions have different EAN codes.
What does the tilting spindle on the FS200SF allow?
The spindle of the FS200SF tilts backwards from 0° to 45°, which lets a straight cutter produce chamfers, bevelled mouldings and angled shoulders without building an angled jig or buying a dedicated profile block. Tilting also lets one cutter block on the FS200SF cut several related profiles by changing the angle instead of changing tooling, which reduces the size of the tooling investment.
How long does it take to get an FS200SF?
The FS200SF is a factory-built machine and Holzmann currently lists this model as unavailable on its own webshop, so an FS200SF is ordered against the quotation rather than taken from stock. Confirm the current lead time for the FS200SF when requesting a quote; a delivery window is confirmed in writing with the offer.
What is needed to install and commission an FS200SF?
An FS200SF needs a level floor with room for the 1000 mm sliding table to travel, levelling of the 218 kg machine so the cast iron table sits true, connection to a 230 V or 400 V supply through an isolator, and connection of the Ø100 mm port to an extractor with enough airflow for a machine running at up to 9000 rpm. Commissioning an FS200SF also means setting the fence and hood for the first cutter block and checking spindle run-out.
What tooling should be budgeted separately for the FS200SF?
Tooling is a serious line item with the FS200SF. Budget separately for Ø30 mm bore cutter blocks and profile cutters for the specific work, spacer and levelling rings for the spindle, a set of spanners, and ideally a power feed unit, which improves both finish and safety on a hand-fed shaper. Extraction ducting for the Ø100 mm port and replacement knives or inserts for the cutter blocks are also separate costs from the FS200SF itself.
