The HOLZMANN ABS3880 is the middle machine of the insert-collector range and the one to pick when three extraction points have to stay connected. The ABS3880 delivers 3880 m³/h of suction performance through three 100 mm dust collector ports at 1750 Pa of negative pressure, using a 300 mm fan wheel at 2950 min-1. Twin chip bags of 200 l each give 400 l of total capacity, and four swivel casters carry the 52 kg sheet-metal body.
Motor and duty rating
The ABS3880 is built for continuous duty, rated 2200 W on the S1 continuous rating and 3300 W on the S6 intermittent rating, a clear step up from the 1500 W S1 of the ABS2480. Both the 230 V and the 400 V version of the ABS3880 run the same 2950 min-1 fan speed, so airflow does not depend on which supply the workshop connects.
Chip handling and siting
Housekeeping on the ABS3880 is split across two bags: each bag is 500 mm in diameter and 1480 mm long and holds 200 l, so the interval between changes is long but two bags are handled at every emptying. The ABS3880 needs 2200 mm of clearance at full working height, less than the 2430 mm the ABS2480 asks for, which matters in a low basement workshop.

The ABS3880 is the loudest of the three insert collectors, with a sound power level of 102.1 dB(A) and a sound pressure level of 89.4 dB(A). Hearing protection and, where the layout allows, a separate machine bay with ducting back to the workshop are the sensible answer for the ABS3880.
