A dedicated copy lathe, not a plain wood lathe

The HOLZMANN DBK1300 is a copy wood turning lathe: alongside normal freehand turning, the DBK1300 carries a copying attachment that traces a master workpiece or template and reproduces it, giving identical table legs, chair legs, balusters and stair spindles run after run. Copy capacity on the DBK1300 is 1100 mm in length and 50 mm in depth, with a copying centre height of 65 mm. Turning capacity is 1300 mm between centres at a 220 mm centre height, so the machine covers both the copy work and the one-off pieces a joinery still has to make.

Drive and speeds

The DBK1300 runs a 1500 W (S6) / 1100 W (S1) motor through four fixed spindle speeds: 2800, 1950, 1000 and 500 min-1, selected by belt position. Four steps are enough for the repeat production the DBK1300 is built for, where the speed is set once for a batch of legs and left alone.
