HOLZMANN
HOLZMANN HOB260ECO Combined Planer and Thicknesser, 256 mm
HOB260ECO
The HOLZMANN HOB260ECO is an entry-level combined planer and thicknesser with 1085 x 256 mm pivoting cast iron tables, a 245 x 590 mm thicknessing table and a Ø 75 mm three-knife block at 4000 min-1. The HOB260ECO handles workpieces from 6 mm to 195 mm thick, runs a 2100 W S6 motor at 5.5 m/min feed, and is offered in 230 V and 400 V versions.
The HOB260ECO price is driven by the voltage version, spare knife sets and setting gauge, any extraction unit and 100 mm hose quoted alongside, and delivery to your workshop.
ფასის მოთხოვნაWhy a workshop specifies the HOB260ECO
The HOLZMANN HOB260ECO is the machine to buy when floor space and budget are the binding constraints but the shop still needs both operations. The HOB260ECO squares a face and edge up to 256 mm wide and then brings the board to thickness between 6 mm and 195 mm, all inside a 1084 x 472 x 1050 mm footprint and 146 kg net. That 6 mm lower limit matters more than it looks: the HOB260ECO will take thin panel and drawer stock that heavier machines with taller minimums cannot hold.
How the HOB260ECO cuts
Cutting on the HOB260ECO is deliberately conservative, and that is a design choice rather than a shortcoming. The Ø 75 mm three-knife cutterblock turns at 4000 min-1 and the machine is rated for a 3 mm planing pass but only 2 mm when thicknessing, with a 5.5 m/min feed. Taking less per pass with a 1500 W continuous motor keeps the cut clean and the motor out of trouble in beech, oak and other dense timber. Published sound power is 93 dB(A), the lowest of any straight-knife machine in this comparison.
Tables, fence and mode change
Changeover on the HOB260ECO is tool-free. The grey cast iron planing tables pivot sideways together to expose the 245 x 590 mm thicknessing table underneath, and the adjustable aluminium fence measures 700 x 130 mm with 0 to 45° tilt for bevels and chamfers. A solid cabinet base carries the assembly at an 850 mm working height, and a 100 mm dust collector port takes the machine onto shop extraction.
Power supply and siting
Voltage is where the HOB260ECO is unusually flexible for its class. The HOB260ECO exists as a 230 V single-phase machine and as a 400 V three-phase machine, so premises in Georgia without a three-phase connection are not excluded. Physically the HOB260ECO is a two-person lift at 146 kg net (167.5 kg gross) and needs a level floor with clear run-in and run-out beyond the 1085 mm planing tables — plan that clearance before deciding where the HOB260ECO will live.

უპირატესობები
- The HOB260ECO covers a 6 to 195 mm thickness range, so thin drawer stock and reasonably deep boards both go through the same machine.
- A published 93 dB(A) sound power level makes the HOB260ECO the quietest straight-knife machine in this Holzmann comparison, which matters in a small enclosed workshop.
- Both 230 V and 400 V versions of the HOB260ECO are available, so the machine fits Georgian premises with or without a three-phase supply.
გასათვალისწინებელი
- A 2 mm thicknessing depth of cut on the HOB260ECO means more passes than machines rated at 3 to 5 mm, and the 5.5 m/min feed is slower than the 8 m/min of the HOB260NL.
- The 1500 W continuous motor of the HOB260ECO limits full-width cuts in dense hardwood; realistic passes are lighter than the stated maximums.
- The HOB260ECO uses a straight three-knife block, so a nail strike ruins a whole knife set and knives must be reset with a gauge — the HOB260ECOSMW2 spiral version avoids both problems.
