PSM2 — HOLZMANN PSM2 Parquet Sanding Machine (1500 W, 200 mm) 1 / 2

HOLZMANN

HOLZMANN PSM2 Parquet Sanding Machine (1500 W, 200 mm)

PSM2

The 1500 W motor is what separates the HOLZMANN PSM2 from the 2200 W PSM3; the drum, the 200 mm sanding width, the 65 kg mass and the IP 55 rating are the same on both. The PSM2 therefore asks less of a 230 V circuit, spins its 176 mm drum at 2000 min-1, measures 930 x 340 x 960 mm and bags its own dust.

The quoted price for the PSM2 moves with the abrasive package specified alongside it, with whether an edge sander is bought at the same time to finish the perimeter the PSM2 cannot reach, with the number of machines ordered by a flooring contractor, and with freight and customs clearance into Georgia for a 68 kg gross item.

What the HOLZMANN PSM2 does

The HOLZMANN PSM2 sands wooden floors. A 1500 W motor turns a Ø176 mm sanding drum at 2000 min-1 across a working width of 200 mm, taking off old finish, filler and cupping from new and old parquet alike. Integrated dust extraction draws the sanding dust into the supplied dust bag at the drum, which keeps the working area and the finished surface clean enough to inspect between grits.

Who the PSM2 suits

The PSM2 is sized for small to medium floor areas: apartment rooms, offices, shop floors and the parquet work a joinery takes on alongside its bench work. The machine measures 930 x 340 x 960 mm and weighs 65 kg, so the PSM2 is walked and steered by one operator but needs two people and a ramp for stairs or a van. Power comes from an ordinary 230 V / 50 Hz socket, and the motor is built to IP 55 for the dusty conditions of floor sanding.

PSM2 compared with the HOLZMANN PSM3

The PSM2 and the PSM3 share the same sanding geometry: a Ø176 mm drum at 2000 min-1 and a 200 mm sanding width, both at 65 kg net. The difference is motor power. The PSM2 draws 1500 W, the PSM3 draws 2200 W from the same 230 V supply. Take the PSM2 where the circuits are ordinary domestic sockets and the floors are rooms rather than halls; take the PSM3 where the machine runs all day in hardwood and the extra power keeps the drum speed up in a deep cut.

Delivery and consumables

The PSM2 is delivered with its dust bag and integrated extraction; abrasive belts for the 176 mm drum are consumables and are ordered to the grit sequence the floor needs. Gross shipping weight is 68 kg.

ძირითადი მახასიათებლები

  • 1500 W (S1) motor - the lower-powered of the two PSM sanders, and the gentler load where a job runs off older domestic wiring
  • 930 mm overall length (930 x 340 x 960 mm), 30 mm shorter in the body than the PSM3
  • Sanding drum of 176 mm diameter turning at 2000 min-1, driven from a 2800 min-1 motor
  • 200 mm of floor covered in a single pass
  • Motor sealed to IP 55 against the dust a floor drum throws back at it
  • Dust extraction built into the machine, dust bag supplied with it
  • 65 kg net / 68 kg gross - walked across a floor by one operator, lifted into a vehicle by two
  • New and old parquet on small to medium areas: rooms, corridors and offices rather than halls

უპირატესობები

  • Runs on an ordinary 230 V socket, so no three-phase installation is needed on site
  • Integrated extraction with dust bag included keeps the floor readable between grits
  • Ø176 mm drum at 2000 min-1 handles both new and old parquet

გასათვალისწინებელი

  • 200 mm sanding width makes large hall floors slow work
  • Cannot reach corners or skirting boards, so a separate edge sander is required
  • 65 kg is heavy to lift into a van or up a staircase without a second person

What power supply does the HOLZMANN PSM2 need?
The HOLZMANN PSM2 runs on single-phase 230 V / 50 Hz and draws 1500 W, so the PSM2 works from an ordinary socket in a house, office or workshop. There is no 400 V three-phase version of the PSM2; where more power is wanted on the same 230 V supply, the PSM3 at 2200 W is the alternative.
How wide a pass does the PSM2 sand?
The PSM2 sands a maximum width of 200 mm per pass with a Ø176 mm drum turning at 2000 min-1, which suits room-sized areas rather than large halls.
Does the PSM2 collect its own dust?
Yes. The PSM2 has integrated dust extraction and is delivered with a dust bag, so most of the sanding dust is captured at the drum. On large or resinous floors the bag needs emptying frequently to keep suction at the drum.
What does the PSM2 not do?
The PSM2 is a drum floor sander. The PSM2 does not sand into corners or up to a skirting board, does not sand stairs, and does not polish or apply finish - an edge sander is needed for the perimeter and a separate machine or hand work for corners and coatings. The PSM2 is also not a thickness or belt sander for boards on a bench.
Can one person handle the PSM2?
The PSM2 weighs 65 kg and measures 930 x 340 x 960 mm, so one operator can walk and steer the PSM2 across a floor, but loading it into a van or moving it up stairs is a two-person job.
Which abrasives does the PSM2 use?
The PSM2 takes abrasive belts sized to its Ø176 mm drum with a 200 mm sanding width. Abrasives are consumables and are chosen as a grit sequence, from a coarse cut that removes old finish to a fine grit before coating.
What does a HOLZMANN PSM2 cost?
The HOLZMANN PSM2 is priced by quotation rather than from a shelf price. What moves a PSM2 quotation is the abrasive package taken with it - a floor sander runs through grit sequences continuously - whether an edge sander is ordered at the same time to finish the perimeter the PSM2 cannot reach, how many machines a flooring contractor is equipping, and freight and customs clearance into Georgia. Choosing the PSM2 over the 2200 W PSM3 is itself a cost decision, since motor power is the main published difference between them.
How soon can a HOLZMANN PSM2 be supplied?
The HOLZMANN PSM2 is built to order and its current lead time is confirmed at quotation. The PSM2 ships at 68 kg gross in a 920 x 380 x 920 mm carton, so it moves as ordinary palletised freight; the build schedule rather than the transport is what sets the date, and both are stated on the quotation.
Is there any commissioning to do on a HOLZMANN PSM2?
A HOLZMANN PSM2 needs no installation trades - it plugs into a 230 V / 50 Hz socket and carries its own extraction. Commissioning is a matter of fitting the abrasive to the 176 mm drum, attaching the dust bag and setting the drum pressure, then trying the machine on an inconspicuous area of floor first. If the PSM2 is bought with other machines we can include a setting-up and demonstration visit in the same quotation.
What consumables should be budgeted with a HOLZMANN PSM2?
Abrasives are the running cost of a HOLZMANN PSM2 and should be budgeted as a grit sequence rather than a single grade: coarse to strip old finish, medium to level, fine before coating. Spare dust bags belong in the same order. Because the PSM2 sands 200 mm at a time and cannot reach a skirting board or a corner, budget an edge sander and hand-scraping tools alongside it, plus the floor finish itself.
