Four working units in one footprint

The K5260L is the machine for a workshop that needs planing, thicknessing, sawing and moulding but has room for one machine. The K5260L switches between operating modes on a turn switch, and each working unit has its own motor — 2200 W (S1) for the circular saw, 1500 W for the spindle moulder and 1500 W for the planer, rising to 3100 W and 2100 W respectively on S6 duty — so no single overloaded motor is asked to do every job on the K5260L.

Planing and thicknessing

Surfacing on the K5260L runs over a solid three-knife cutterblock of 75 mm diameter at 4500 rpm with pre-mounted HSS knives, fed across a 1090 mm infeed table against a 715 x 130 mm planer fence that tilts from 90° to 45°. Thicknessing on the K5260L works between 5 and 195 mm with a maximum cut depth of 5 mm and a feed speed of 8 m/min, which covers dimensioning door stiles, worktop slats and glue-up components without a separate thicknesser.

Sawing and moulding

The saw unit of the K5260L uses a Ø254 mm blade at 4750 rpm, cutting 78 mm at 90° and 60 mm at 45°, with a handwheel tilt from 90° to 45° and up to 510 mm of rip at the parallel fence. A precision-ground cast iron table of 980 x 470 mm carries a mitre gauge working ±45° in a T-slot, with a 250 x 400 mm sliding table. The spindle moulder on the K5260L takes a Ø30 mm spindle at 6500 rpm with 100 mm stroke, 80 mm clamping height, tools to 160 mm above the table and a 350 x 125 mm mitre fence.

Practical limits of a combination machine

Accept the trade-off before quoting the K5260L: mode changes cost setup time, and a shop cutting and moulding alternately all day will move faster on separate machines such as the KF315VF2000. Against that, the K5260L delivers four processes in 375 kg at 840 mm table height, with a single Ø100 mm extraction port and 230 V or 400 V supply options.
