The HOLZMANN KAM55V answers a specific problem: edge banding wider than 45 mm without moving up to a stationary machine. The KAM55V accepts edge banding from 10 to 55 mm wide and 0.3 to 3 mm thick, which covers 16-25 mm board tape, tall drawer fronts and many worktop lippings from one hand-guided unit. At 8.5 kg net the KAM55V remains a machine an installer can lift into a van.
Power and glue temperature
The KAM55V is deliberately modest on power draw. A 765 W motor runs from a single-phase 230 V socket, so the KAM55V needs no three-phase installation and no dedicated circuit in most Georgian workshops. Working temperature runs from 120 to 180 °C, at the lower end of the hot-melt range, which suits thin 0.3 mm tape that scorches easily as well as heavier 3 mm PVC.
Curves and shaped work

A minimum curve radius of 20 mm on the KAM55V is tighter than the 25 mm of the KAM45PRO and KAM65PRO, so radiused shelf ends, rounded worktop corners and curved table edges are within reach. Combined with the 10 mm lower limit on edge width, the KAM55V handles small shaped components that larger machines cannot follow.
How the KAM55V differs from the KAM45PRO
Compare the two on capacity rather than power. The KAM45PRO carries a larger 855 W motor and is supplied with a banding dispenser, but stops at 45 mm of edge width and a 25 mm radius. The KAM55V trades a little motor power for 55 mm of edge width, a 20 mm minimum radius and a thinner 0.3 mm lower thickness limit, and arrives as a set with accessories. Shops doing shaped and wide-front work should look at the KAM55V; shops doing straight runs of standard tape may prefer the KAM45PRO.
Practical limits of the KAM55V
The KAM55V glues and presses the edge; it does not trim it. End trimming, flush trimming and scraping remain hand operations, and glue granulate and tape are consumables to budget separately. The KAM55V is a fitting and small-batch machine, not a production bander.
